Admin Alerts

Admin alerts inform you about the quality of metric data coming into Anomify. They can be configured by admin users (find your user type in My Account) from the Admin Alerts page in Settings.

There are three types of admin alert:

  • All Metrics Stopped Receiving Data
  • Some Metrics Stopped Receiving Data
  • Metric Quota Exceeded

Lets deal with each in turn.

All Metrics Stopped Receiving Data

Anomify Sends an alert when it stops receiving data from all of your metrics. For example, if the process for pushing data to Anomify fails then Anomify will stop receiving data and you will be alerted. We advise enabling this alert since Anomify can’t detect anomalies when the data stream stops.

Some Metrics Stopped Receiving Data

Anomify Sends an alert when it stops receiving data for at least one metric in your population.

A notification will also be sent when the metrics come back online. If they are still offline after 24 hours the metrics will be removed from the analysis pipeline. You will be notified about this too.

Metric Quota Exceeded

Your account has an upper limit set on the number of metrics you can send, depending on your pricing tier. If you send more metrics than your quota allows the additional metrics will be dropped and you'll be notified. You should handle 207 responses to prevent this happening.

Metric Quota Exceeded alerts cannot be disabled or configured.
